A National Hero of Labor, a People’s Teacher, and a Renowned Agricultural Scientist - has been recognized internationally for his lifelong dedication to education and science. Professor Xuân is currently the Honorary President of Nam Can Tho University. For decades, he has been a leading figure in agricultural science in Vietnam and a mentor to generations of researchers. He is especially known for developing many high-quality rice varieties in the Mekong Delta region, earning him the nickname “the father of Vietnamese rice.

Throughout his time at the university, Professor Xuân has been a strong advisor to the University Council, helping build and strengthen the faculty and staff team. He introduced innovative training methods to improve teaching quality and mentor younger generations of lecturers. He helped form important collaborations with educational and scientific organizations both in Vietnam and abroad.
